Granger Beaton, named one of Golf Digest’s Best Young Teachers (2025-2026), coaches at MountainGate Country Club in Los Angeles. Known for simplifying complex concepts, he helps golfers of all levels achieve measurable success. His career spans elite academies, including the David Leadbetter Jr. Golf Academy, Titleist Performance Institute Jr. Performance Center, Nike Jr. Golf Schools with Dr. Bob Winters, NBC Golf Channel Academy with David Impastato, and PGA Tour coaching. As a founding team member of Blast Motion, Granger integrates innovative technology into his holistic, athletic-based approach, supported by certifications in TPI, K-Vest, Swing Catalyst, Boditrak, and Blast Motion.
Growing up in Boston, Granger was a multi-sport athlete with little interest in golf—until Tiger Woods redefined the game. Inspired, he pursued golf passionately, competing in tournaments like the New England Junior Open, where he placed third. Determined to compete nationally, he trained with top coaches, but conflicting advice and a focus on mechanics left him paralyzed under pressure. A reminder from his dad to “Be an Athlete” shifted his approach, leading him to explore sports science. Now, Granger helps golfers cut through the noise to reconnect with their athletic instincts and unlock their potential.

Granger’s philosophy centers on developing golfers into well-rounded athletes. At MountainGate Country Club, he assesses players across five key areas—Body, Swing, Mind, Strategy, and Clubs—to create personalized plans. Subtly using tools like Blast Motion, Focus Band, and the Orange Whip iOS Timing App, Granger emphasizes simplicity, efficiency, and measurable results, guiding golfers to reach their full potential.
